Western Sydney Wanderers midfielder Demi Koulizakis has put pen to paper with Texas Tech, one of seven players to sign with the Red Raiders on National Signing Day. Koulizakis has made 13 appearances for the Wanderers in the W-League across the last two seasons, whilst also receiving a call-up to the Young Matildas training squad in 2015. Koulizakis has also represented the national All Schools team in 2015 and played NPL New South Wales for Football NSW Institute.
Known for her ability on the ball and goalscoring prowess, Koulizakis will no doubt be used in the same attacking role at Texas Tech as she has been in her teams in Australia. The Sydneysider also brings international experience unmatched by most other players in the squad. Koulizakis will not be the only player from this part of the world playing for the Red Raiders this year; the squad also includes sophomore Lauren Dabner from New Zealand.
