2017 Week 7 Wrap

It’s the first week of the second half of the regular season, but it also appears to be the Week of the Aussie v Aussie Matchup, with at least two cracking games littered with Australians set to come this week. Elsewhere, Ellie Papalexiou continues to make her return from serious injury for Pacific.
This week wasn’t exactly one big highlight reel for the Aussies, but there were still a number of excellent performances, whilst one player also made her comeback after significant time out of the game.
Week 5 really represents a leap into the middle portion of the 12 week college regular season. The first third of the campaign is in the book, and slowly but surely conference play is beginning to ramp up, with a couple of Aussies starting their league campaigns this week.
It was certainly a great weekend for the goalkeepers, with both Teagan Micah and Georgia Rowntree pulling out exceptional performances. However, Emily Hulbert was even better in midfield for Hofstra, leading her team to a demolition of Eastern Washington. Elsewhere, we saw yet another freshman make their debut in the form of Olivia Ellis.
