With Stanford and UCLA in the top 5 in the coaches’ poll, and Mississippi and Texas Tech receiving votes, there are plenty of Aussies playing for top teams at the moment in varying capacities. However, there are plenty of other places you can find Aussies performing well, including at Illinois, where Ashleigh Lefevre continues to cement her spot in the Fighting Illini’s starting eleven.

Over the next 12 weeks, over 330 teams across the US will be playing for their chance to compete for a national championship, with a couple of Aussies among the teams with the best chance to be holding the trophy aloft in San Jose in early December.

Australians in NCAA Division I women’s soccer scored 22 goals and tallied 26 assists in 2018. However, 11 of those goals and 16 of those assists came via players who will not be returning to college in 2019, either due to graduation or other reasons. Despite a comparative lack of attacking output among the returning players, there are a number of players who are yet to regularly add their names to the scoresheet that could yet have breakout seasons and provide memorable moments this year. 2018 Week 10 Preview

We’re getting right down to crunch time now, with plenty of Aussies either fighting to secure a conference tournament berth or simply work themselves back into the hunt. The biggest matchup of the week is in a league with no postseason tournament though as Colorado take on Stanford with both teams eyeing the league crown.

Jessie Gentle was anything but this week as she put the Wyoming side on her back to be involved in three of her team’s four goals this weekend to keep the Cowgirls in a solid position in the Mountain West Conference. Elsewhere, Claudia Jenkins and Alyssa Van Heurck helped La Salle to a pair of bounce-back wins, whilst Jodie Burchell and Kate Swartwout picked up their first collegiate goals.
