2024 Non-NCAA Division I Week 3 Wrap

This week saw NJCAA star Gabby Stone continue to show her lethality in front of goal, but the LSU Eunice star wasn’t the only Aussie to find the back of the net. Northeast duo Talia Sanders and Samantha Bayer each tallied goals, whilst Georgia Dean scored her first NAIA goal for Rocky Mountain. Meanwhile, Mineral Area College goalkeeper Thea Draganova was once again a standout between the sticks.

NCAA Division II

No NCAA Division II players had games scheduled this week.

NCAA Division III

Bethany College (Gabby Hicks)

This week: defeated Penn St.-Altoona 3-1

Gabby Hicks did not feature in Bethany’s win over Penn State-Altoona.

Dean College (Miro McIntyre Clere)

This week: defeated MCLA 2-1; lost 5-0 Rhode Island Col.

Miro McIntyre Clere started both games for Dean this week, playing the full 90 minutes against MCLA and 83 minutes in the loss to Rhode Island College.

Lesley (Maya Spatafore)

This week: defeated Wentworth 2-1

Maya Spatafore came off the bench to play 49 minutes in her college debut as Lesley defeated Wentworth.

Millikin University (Lila Castillo Burgess)

This week: defeated Knox 4-1; defeated Kalamazoo 4-1

Lila Castillo Burgess did not feature for Millikin in either game this week.

Monmouth College (Brontë De Zwart)

This week: drew 1-1 with Edgewood; lost 2-1 to Buena Vista

Brontë De Zwart did not feature for Monmouth against Edgewood, but started and made four saves in 64 minutes against Buena Vista.

Georgia Little started in Keiser’s win over Webber International, tallying a shot on target in 71 minutes of action. Zoe Edwards played 17 minutes off the bench, whilst Zara Board did not feature.

Midway (Holly Johnstone)

Holly Johnstone started and played 64 minutes in Midway’s win over Union, but did not feature against Defiance College.

Reinhardt (Ga.) (Riley Welsh)

Riley Welsh started for Reinhardt against Rocky Mountain but unfortunately the match was declared a no-contest due to weather after 58 minutes.

Rocky Mountain (MT) (Piper Adams-Jones, Georgia Dean, Tara Appleby, Ellen Gaudry)

This week: lost 3-1 to Georgia Gwinnett; match v Reinhardt (Ga.) abandoned due to weather.

Georgia Dean started for Rocky Mountain in their loss to Georgia Gwinnett, tallying 4 shots with three on target and scoring the Battlin’ Bears’ only goal of the game in 76 minutes of playing time. Ellen Gaudry played the full 90 minutes, whilst Piper Adams-Jones and Tara Appleby came off the bench to play 37 and 22 minutes respectively. Rocky Mountain’s second match of the week against Reinhardt was declared a no-contest after weather intervened just before the hour mark.

Science and Arts (Emali Goulas)

Jada Lamond came off the bench in Dodge City’s loss to Kansas City Kansas.

Eastern Florida State (Aimee Longhurst)

LSU Eunice (Gabby Stone)

This week: defeated Dallas College – Richland 5-0; defeated Dallas College – North Lake 6-0

Gabby Stone was unstoppable this week. The freshman started both games, scoring two goals against Dallas College-Richland before notching her second hat-trick of the season in the win over Dallas College-North Lake.

Laramie County (Giselle Heck)

This week: drew 0-0 with Monroe CC; drew 0-0 with Harford

Giselle Heck started for Laramie County against Monroe CC, tallying a shot in her 81 minutes on the pitch. No stats were provided for the match against Harford.

Monroe College (Emily Mackie)

This week: defeated Dallas College – Eastfield 10-3; defeated Mohawk Valley 14-0

Emily Mackie did not feature for Monroe College in either game this week.

Montana-Rose Currey started in Johnson County’s win over Iowa Lakes, whilst Sophia Abbott came off the bench.

Mineral Area (Thea Draganova)

This week: defeated Morton 2-1; defeated Northwest Iowa CC 9-0

Thea Draganova played every minute of the weekend for Mineral Area, making five saves in the win over Morton and a single save against Northwest Iowa.

Northeast (Samantha Bayer, Amelia Bingley, Hannah Chetcuti, Talia Sanders)

This week: lost 5-1 to Jones; drew 1-1 with Pearl River

All four Aussies at Northeast featured in both games this week. Amelia Bingley and Talia Sanders each started in both games, with Sanders tallying the Hawks’ only goal against Jones and an assist against Pearl River. Samantha Bayer came off the bench in both games and was the grateful recipient of Sanders’ assist against Pearl River, scoring the opener in the 1-1 draw. Helena Chetcuti also came off the bench in both games this week.
