Canberra United midfielder Julia De Angelis will swap green for red in 2016, having signed for the University of Indiana. De Angelis, who has made 21 appearances for Canberra United across the last two seasons, was the recipient of the club’s 2015/16 Young Player Of The Year in what will be her final season for the club for the next few years.
De Angelis, who played 35 minutes of Canberra United’s 2014/15 W-League grand final victory over Perth Glory, has also represented the Young Matildas on several occasions. Having already established herself as an integral part of a team of Canberra United’s calibre, De Angelis will no doubt be right in the mix for a starting berth at Indiana from the outset.
